About

Born and raised in Niles, Michigan, Stephanie has always had a passion for writing. As a work-from-home mother, she maintains a flexible schedule that allows her to play with her super-energetic kid while pursuing her aspiration to write children's books that impart the values of kindness and compassion to the next generation.

After graduating from the University of Michigan in 1999, Stephanie embarked on a lot of soul-searching. Her jobs ranged from teaching college writing, to guest-pastoring, to coffee-slinging, to mentoring high school students. She was the Executive Editor for a group of local magazines in the Michigan-Indiana region, founder of the spiritual self-improvement blog A Journey of Reinvention, and is currently the Director of Application and Scholarship Management for Sagely College Advising.

Though writing was her first love, she met her second in 2001 and married him in 2004. Stephanie and her husband Stephen live in Indiana. They have three adult children and one incredible 9-year-old for whom they prayed for over 10 years before finally getting pregnant. Stephanie even wrote and performed a one-woman play entitled, And Then He Was Here about her 10+ years of infertility and subsequent 'geriatric pregnancy' at age 38.
